Meal Plan is a pre-determined amount of money that can be added on to the student’s tuition and fee balance.
Any student (on-campus, off-campus, part-time or full-time) can sign up for a Meal Plan.
What is Bison Bucks?
Bison Bucks is a customized amount that loads cash value directly on to your UT ID card
Any student (on-campus, off-campus, part-time or full-time) AND faculty and staff (part-time or full-time) can take advantage of Bison Bucks.
How does Meal Plan and Bison Bucks work?
Meal Plan and Bison Bucks function as a declining balance account (think of it as a pre-loaded gift card!)
What are the advantages of having Meal Plan & Bison Bucks?
- It removes the state sales tax off your purchase.
- It can be accessed with your UT ID card or on your phone through the MyUT app.
- Meal Plan and Bison Bucks can ONLY be used at participating food locations on campus.
Do Meal Plan & Bison Bucks expire?
Yes – BUT after 6 months of card inactivity
Are Meal Plan & Bison Bucks refundable?
No
How can I load Bison Bucks into my card?
Add Bison Bucks to your account conveniently online by clicking here, at any register at participating campus locations, or at the central cashier.
Who can take advantage of Bison Bucks?
All student, staff & faculty (part time or full time) who have an active UT ID card can load Bison Bucks into their card anytime.
How can I pay for Bison Bucks?
We accept all major payments – Cash, Visa, Master Card, Amex, Discover, and Apple Pay.
Can my parents add money online?
Yes – follow this link
Select the Account section
Click the ellipsis on your Bison Bucks account.
Select request funds.
This will allow you to send an email to anyone to request additional funds. The email will include a secure link for payment. Once that person completes the payment process, the funds will be immediately available to you.
